Royal British Columbia Museum Collections Policies The Royal British Columbia Museum (RBCM) contains detailed information on all of the province's natural and human history. It includes a collection of over 10 million objects and specimens and millions of significant government documents and records; substantial photographic, audio and video collections; artworks; and an extensive library of publications. The primary purpose of the Museum: To secure, receive and preserve specimens, artifacts and archival and other materials that illustrate the natural or human history of British Columbia - is governed by policies clearly outlining the stewardship of these collections.
